1970s Italian La Murrina pendant chandelier in transluscent glass with green, lilac and amber accents.
La Murrina was created by an Italian family who created this style in the 1960s inspired by Art Nouveau elegance.
This pendant lamp features a delicate handkerchief or fazzoletto (napkin) shape, evoking the beauty of blooming flowers based in the centuries-old Murano glassmaking tradition which dates back to the 13th century in Venice. Master artisans on the island, known as maestri vetrai, developed and perfected the mosaic-like murrine technique. Stunning.
